Pedro Gouveia

Pedro Gouveia, MD, PhD
Pedro is a dedicated breast specialist, medical XR researcher and futurist at the Breast Unit of Champalimaud Foundation, Lisbon, Portugal since 2013.
He is a board certified breast surgeon by the European Society of Surgical Oncology since 2015. In 2021 he has received a PhD degree at Lisbon Medical School with the theme: 3D Digital Breast Cancer Surgery with Augmented Reality.
Pedro is also the Oncoplastic Breast Consortium Coordinator for Portugal since 2019 and member of the Senology Portuguese Society since 2017. He was recently selected to be a member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology Education and Training Committee (position will start at October 2022).
