“I graduated Medical University of Gdańsk, Poland, in 2007. I have since been working here at the Department of Surgical Oncology, where I hold the position of consultant oncological surgeon and the Breast Cancer Unit’s surgical team leader. I also completed postgraduate courses in Clinical Trials management and Clinical Nutrition.
I share my working time between breast cancer surgery, caring for patients requiring nutritional help, and ultrasound diagnostics of breast diseases. I have authored and co-authored publications in peer-reviewed journals and chapters in breast cancer and nutritional textbooks. I also hold an academic position as an assistant professor at the Medical University of Gdańsk.
In my private life, I have the best first wife I could imagine and a three-year-old son. I’m a multi-instrumental musician, a huge aviation fan, and an ex-mountain climber. I also run a popular social media blog, @chirurgpawel, where I tell and share stories from a surgeon’s life and have published a book based on this activity – “Chirurg Paweł – o chirurgii inaczej”.”
