CERGAS–SDA Bocconi hosted the CINDERELLA Project workshop “Bridging Research and Market: Financing and Deploying AI in European Health Systems”.
Experts from healthcare, research, policy, industry and investment explored how promising AI solutions can move from pilot projects into routine, equitable and sustainable care.
The key message was clear: scaling AI is not only a technological challenge. Implementation depends on the broader socio-technical environment:
• Trust, AI literacy and cultural readiness
• Clear governance and accountability
• Clinical and real-world evidence
• Sustainable financing for deployment and maintenance
• Early collaboration among patients, clinicians, researchers, industry and policymakers
For CINDERELLA, these priorities are central to developing responsible, patient-centred AI that supports education and shared decision-making in breast cancer care.
