• The Advisory board is an external structured and collaborative group that was created to support the leadership board with subjects related to the technical/scientific expertise regarding the domains discussed on the project. It will additionally help us with some ethical advisory functions.

 

• This group is composed of expert representatives from national or international recognised organisations or sitting in their individual capacity. It constitutes a body formed by strategic advisors with deep experience on the domains of the project. The role of this group within Cinderella is to support, with high-quality advice to the coordination/direction of the project, provide, when required, operational guidance and follow up the project development and effectiveness of their actions towards the proposed goals.

 

• The advisory board may be called to provide ethical advice. If an overall appreciation of ethical and data processing issues may be required, such it will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, involving a subgroup of experts or all the board under discretion of the coordinator.

• The advisory board group will meet at least twice a year by electronic means (Teams/Zoom meetings). This group has no voting rights on the project.

 

• A CAB facilitator (to liaison with the project coordinator) may be indicated. His or her role is to increase/facilitate interactions and the usefulness of the structure.

 

• The advisory board will involve between 11 and 13 organisations and individuals to be invited.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]CINDERELLA 1st Face-to-Face Meeting On the 28th and 29th of November 2022, the Cinderella team met for the first time in person in Lisbon, at the Champalimaud Foundation - the project's coordinator centre. For two days, the group got together and presented the latest project achievements, discussed several topics of the project, solved some issues, and important decisions were made for the following project steps. Cinderella's Project Officer was also present, remotely, on behalf of the European Commission. Meeting in person did not only increase the team communication and motivation, but was also beneficial for team bonding and collaboration. A lot of great work was achieved in those two days. [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On 25 of May 2022 the Champalimaud Foundation released a news piece about the Cinderella Project.   With a news piece entitled "Projecto Cinderella: O direito de olhar no espelho e de gostar do que se vê", Ana Gerschenfeld, Health & Science Writer da Fundação Champalimaud, divulgues the Cinderella Project goals and projects.   "A project aimed at optimizing, in a personalized way, the prediction of the results of reconstructive surgeries in patients with breast cancer - in order to improve these women's satisfaction in relation to their body image after surgery -, will receive five million euros from the Horizon Health Program 2021 of the European Commission. The funding of this multicentric and international effort, coordinated by the Champalimaud Foundation Breast Unit, in Lisbon, was formalized this week (May 23rd) with the signing of an agreement between the Champalimaud Foundation and the European Commission.
